Boys and girls, ages birth to 35, with any special need, are welcome and encouraged to participate. There is no cost to Angels, families or spectators. Every Angel is a winner and will receive the “fairy tale” treatment!

Join us and experience the magic.

The Colorado Angels Pageant is completely free for participants and families. We need YOU to help make this magic possible.

Just $25 sponsor an angel. Personal and corporate sponsorships are available. We have multiple fundraising opportunities as well.

It takes many hands to make this sort of magic possible. We need volunteers for all of our committees, and “Day Of” volunteers to make this event amazing.

We are also accepting donations of materials, dresses and goodies. Let us know how you want to join the fun!

What Is the Colorado Angels Pageant?

We believe that all children are created beautiful and wonderful and are gifts from God, regardless of their abilities. We want to celebrate them and their uniqueness. That’s what this pageant is all about. We desire to give each Angel an opportunity to experience the fairy tale, for one magical day.

This pageant is not about talent or ability. There are no losers, everyone is a winner!  All Angels will receive: pageant clothing (if desired), professional hair, makeup and photography, a pageant t-shirt, a goody bag full of goodies and of course, a crown, sash and title!

Having a special needs child is challenging, and often there are financial hardships. Many times, families have to choose not to participate in fun events for lack of money. The Colorado Angels Pageant is designed to be a day full of fun, beauty and celebration that is absolutely free. There is no cost to participate or to attend the festivities. We want this to be a stress free, cost free day to enjoy your children, friends and family. Please join us!

Richelle is the proud mother of 5, 4 of whom are girls. Her youngest daughter, Sami, was born severely disabled due to Congenital CMV. Her sisters love to say how beautiful she is. One day, at the encouragement of her older girls, Richelle began looking for special needs pageants. She discovered BJ Thorn and the Angels Pageant System. She was inspired by BJ and Andrea’s story and wanted to be involved. She was so excited about the idea of a pageant specifically for special needs children and adults that was completely free to families and was absolutely thrilled to bring the Angels Pageant to Colorado. Richelle says “Last year’s pageant was an incredible day. It was so rewarding to see the faces of the children as they got the star treatment. They felt so special! It was a magical day for everyone. I can’t wait for more children to participate this year!”

  • Vanessa Schwartz

Vanessa is the proud Mommy of two beautiful young ladies. Her youngest child, Nasyah, was born with a rare genetic disorder, partial Trisomy 9. Vanessa met Richelle at the beginning of the journey with Sami. Vanessa was a huge encouragement to her, and as mothers do, they exchanged advice with their unique medical experiences. They became fast friends, leading them into an unexpected yet fateful journey. When Richelle asked Vanessa to join her in making the Colorado Angels Pageant a reality, she jumped on board. Vanessa was awestruck at what they accomplished with the help of a wonderful committee and pure hard work. “It was truly amazing to have been able to give these families, participants and our community a day they will never forget. I can’t wait to bring yet another exciting day of joy into the lives of this year’s Angels!”
